Dr. Chinta Sudhakar, born on June 26, 1959, is a distinguished academic and administrator currently serving as the Vice Chancellor of Yogi Vemana University in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, India. His academic journey is marked by a strong foundation in biosciences, beginning with his post-graduation in Biosciences with Plant Biology (1981-1983) from S.K. University. He further honed his expertise with an M.Phil in Botany (1984-1985) and a PhD in Botany (1985-1990) from the same institution, laying a robust groundwork for his future contributions to the field.

Dr. Sudhakar's professional career commenced as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany at S.K. University, a role he held from 1987 to 1998. His dedication to teaching and research earned him a promotion to Associate Professor, a position he held until 2004. During this time, he also took on the responsibilities of Additional Coordinator for the Department of Biotechnology, showcasing his leadership and organizational skills. His significant contributions in this role set the stage for his appointment as a Professor of Biotechnology in 2004, further solidifying his reputation as a leading academic in his field.
