Sughra Zaid is an accomplished HR professional with over a decade of experience in human resources and training management. Based in Bahrain, she has a proven track record of effectively implementing HR strategies, managing employee relations, and enhancing organizational performance through targeted training programs. Sughra's journey in HR began at Scope Production & Distribution as an HR & Admin Assistant, where she supported the general manager in HR-related tasks and handled various administrative duties, laying the foundation for her future roles.
From March 2008 to July 2010, Sughra honed her skills in HR administration, focusing on tasks such as maintaining employee records, handling correspondence, and assisting in the overall management of HR functions. This role paved the way for her transition to Al Areen Leisure & Tourism (Gulf Finance House) in August 2010. As the Assistant HR & Training Manager, Sughra took on more significant responsibilities, including staff orientation, job description development, resume review, contract renewal, and managing employee relations. Her dedication to improving employee performance through effective training and evaluation programs was evident in her work.
In January 2017, Sughra was promoted to HR & Training Manager at Al Areen Leisure & Tourism, a position she held until September 2023. In this senior role, she was instrumental in developing and implementing comprehensive HR strategies. She managed all aspects of human resources, from recruitment and staff orientation to handling grievances and ensuring compliance with labor regulations. Sughra also played a crucial role in identifying the training needs of the company and preparing training plans to foster employee development and organizational growth.
Academically, Sughra holds an MBA in Business Administration from Malaysia Open University, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from The Kingdom University, and diplomas in Human Resource Management and Commerce from BTI and the University of Bahrain, respectively. Sughra is bilingual, proficient in both English and Arabic, and has a passion for reading and traveling.
